"A Minute to Pray and a Second to Die" is a song by American rapper Scarface, released in 1992 on Rap-A-Lot Records. It is the second and final single released from his debut album, Mr. Scarface Is Back. Produced by Crazy C and Scarface, it features a sample of "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)" by Marvin Gaye. A music video was created for the song and released shortly after the single was released, and mirrors Scarface's storytelling descriptions mostly scene after scene.
"A Minute to Pray and a Second to Die" made it to two Billboard charts, peaking at #69 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and #13 on the Hot Rap Singles.
