A Lesson to Be Learned is the debut studio album by American Hip hop group RBL Posse. It was released on September 16, 1992 through In-A-Minute Records. Recording sessions took place at Bayview Productions in San Francisco, California from August 1991 to April 1992. Production was handled entirely by RBL Posse themselves, with the exception of one track produced by T.C.. It features a guest appearance by the group Totally Insane.
The album reached #60 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. A Lesson to Be Learned release the hit single: "Don't Give Me No Bammer" (which peaked at #16 on the Hot Rap Singles chart). A Lesson to Be Learned gained mild success.
