Patrick Denard Douthit (born January 15, 1975), better known by his stage name 9th Wonder, is an American hip hop record producer, DJ, record executive, and rapper from Durham, North Carolina. He began his career as a member of Little Brother and gained recognition and critical acclaim for his production work for the group. Jay-Z's studio engineer was impressed with his work and managed to enlist 9th Wonder to produce the song "Threat" on Jay-Z's The Black Album in 2003. The song proved to be a mainstream breakthrough for 9th Wonder and led to him producing two songs on the hugely successful Destiny's Child 2004 album, Destiny Fulfilled. 9th Wonder left Little Brother in 2007 over creative differences but has since maintained his success by working for artists such as Rapsody, J. Cole, Boot Camp Clik, Ludacris, Kendrick Lamar, Jean Grae, Erykah Badu, Mac Miller, David Banner, and Murs.

9th Wonder has a smooth and soulful production style that relies on samples from soul artists such as Al Green and Curtis Mayfield.
