40 Dayz & 40 Nightz is the second studio album by American Hip hop recording artist Xzibit. It was released in August 25, 1998 via Loud Records and RCA Records. Recording sessions took place at Sound Castle Studios and Area 51 in Los Angeles, Enterprise Recording in Burbank, Track Record, Inc. in North Hollywood and at Record One and N-House Studios in Studio City from June 1997 to February 1998. Production on the album was handled by Sir Jinx, Xzibit, Jesse West, A Kid Called Roots, Bud'da, DJ Pen One, E-Swift, Mel-Man, Montage One, Pokets, Thayod Ausar, The Glove and Soopafly. It includes guest appearances by Ras Kass, Saafir, Defari, Montage One, Method Man, Jayo Felony, King Tee, Tha Alkaholiks and Soopafly.
40 Dayz & 40 Nightz spawned the singles: "What U See Is What U Get", "3 Card Molly", "Pussy Pop" and "Los Angeles Times". The album peaked at #58 on US Billboard 200 and #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
